The thinking behind ICPH’s Healthy Baby Challenge?
Healthy baby challenge popularly known as Healthy child contests (HCC) are commonly organized to promote awareness towards positive health of the child. Selection of the healthy child is a difficult task, yet in the spirit of active participation and fair assessment by health care professional it is done. In order to minimize personal bias and subjective errors in assessment, the following protocols are adopted while conducting HCC.

• Every child participating in HCC should be assessed by a team of judges-each assessing different parameter(s), as per a fixed format carrying equal number of marks.
• While evaluating Child comforts like-place for breast feeding, toilets, snacks, etc is also included. Opportunity is used to simultaneously provide health education and immunization if need.

The following are the units of measurement for the Healthy Baby Challenge @ICPH on 10th November , 2025

1. Growth Assessment : Weight-centile against standard IAP Growth charts
2. Vaccination : Age-appropriate vaccination till date
3. Breast Feeding & nutritional status : first 6 months/ weaning & supplementary feeds
4. Hygiene : Hair, Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Teeth, Ears, Nails, Clothes.
5. Parents knowledge about child health interventions, vaccination and breast feeding

Who are eligible to participate in the Healthy Baby Challenge?

• Date: 10th November, 2025
• Time: 10.30 a.m – 3.30 p.m
• Venue: Shanti Ashram
• Age group : Babies between 0 -11 months of age

Awards and prizes for Healthy babies

• All participating babies will be awarded a certificate and prize.
• The top 10 winners will be given a medal, certificate and a special prize.
